Onyx at CeBIT
I don't know if anyone else is planning to go to CeBIT this year.

I am (as every year) going there professionally and will be dropping by at Onyx' Booth at CeBit this year. They are located at Hall 16, Stand A02

Re: Onyx at CeBIT
Sadly I will not be able to go to CeBIT this year as I was planning.

Thanks for the link. If I had gone I would have taken the time to ask some more relevant questions then this guy does. I am slightly annoyed by the fast way he talks, making it (obviously) hard for her to understand him completely.

That is sad indeed; i was hoping for a more "in depth" review from you and maybe you could have brought home the 1.5 firmware. Let's really hope they will release it soon.

The interviewer is Johannes from Lesen.net, interesting website. He reviewed the Onyx 2 months ago and was not so positive about it, because of bugs. Of course, he is not that well informed and interested in Onyx Boox as you guys do.

We went Saturday, unfortunately, not the best choice: very very crowded and most of the samples where gone so often they couldn't show all the prototypes. We personally think the black version of the Onyx Boox was very interesting: because of it's ''Page-switch-button' that works by swiping over it.''

I asked Kim (the woman you see on the video) what about Color screens: she showed me the sample of BeBook Neo with a build-in Liquavista screen: it's terrible!! She found Pixel-Qi interesting, but yet too expensive.

The 3G sample is almost ready. They will introduce the 3G shortly in Finland: www.elisa.fi is the company that is the exclusive agent of the Onyx Boox 3G in Finland.

They are designing new boxes as well: we find the current ones unprofessional: the design is good, but the carton is often dirty, damaged and broken. The white carton inside is often very dirty as well. The new design should be sealed, to preserve this.

Furthermore: if you are interested, Cebit was interesting but not that spectacular. The Asus ereader is very interesting with it's SiPix screen.

I LOL'd : Going to CeBIT on Saturday is like going to IKEA on Saturday.
I was planning on going with some friends during the week (like I have every year for the last 5) but in the end I had been too busy with my house to plan everything in time and it turned out everyone else sort of forgot about it.
Well there will always be next year I guess....

Re: Onyx at CeBIT
Hi,

Great postings. Just to shed some light. The black Boox with hand swipe is called the Onyx Crossite (6-1).

As for color screens, don't rule out Pixel Qi yet. I've been personally talking to them about their screens. Wink
