How can I clean cookies?
There isn't much traffic here on the site these days, so I hope someone will read it and have the answer.

I have the original Onyx Boox 60 (now called A60 I think), with firmware 1.5.1. The date of the onyx_update.upd file is Dec 27, 2010.

I had a problem with one of my websites, which is a pay site (my newspaper) since about 3 weeks. Suddenly I got an error message from the site. On my wife's Boox, which is identical I still could read the site. I had no problems with other sites, so I suspected it could be a problem with the password or the cookies. However I couldn't find a way to clear the cookies.

I tries to reformat the internal flash, I formatted the Boox from my computer, reinstalled the firmware but it didn't change. I would have expected all my website to disappear from the menu by these actions but it didn't. Apparently this information is stored somewhere where you don't have access.

Finally I decided to install OpenBoox, and it has a function to clear the cookies. After that the site asked for my username and password. However, Apparently there is something missing (or a bug) in OpenBoox, because when I tried to login I got an error message (invalid protocol or protocol not supported or something like that, I forgot the exact text). So I had to go back to 1.5.1 and I could login and that solved the problem.nThere was another reason I couldn't use OpenBoox: It did not show my books!

My question is however: Is there a simple way in the standard 1.5.1 firmware to clear cookies, or forget a password?

RE: How can I clean cookies?
These options was added in the boox on june 2011, for use it you have to upgrade the boox at least at the version of 29 06 2011

Here you can find the version of bebook (compatible with Boox 60)

http://booxusers.com/thread-278.html

Unfortunately the chinese version, who I have in a file named onyx_update_1.5.1_A60_SP2_20110629.zip, is not available because now the onyx's website is unreachable

Thank you so much. I am going to try this version. Would you be willing to upload the chinese version (when that doesn't mean the version is in chines, but in English) to my site? I'll PM you the URL.

I have put my copy on http://pietvanoostrum.com/DL/onyx.zip

I have named the file onyx.zip instead of onyx_update_1.5.1_A60_SP2_20110629.zip because the long name gave problems with my site. I will leave the file there for a couple of days. Please check the MD5 mentioned above after the download.
