terminal emulator
Sorry, I've searched google and here and I can't quite figure it out. Is there a terminal emulator that can be used on the bebook (using either the supplied firmware or openboox). Specifically, I would like to run taskwarrior http://taskwarrior.org/projects/show/taskwarrior on my bebook. I have seen people mention something called dropbear but can't work out exactly what it is and I found this http://sourceforge.net/projects/boox-ter...=directory emulator but it is only in alpha so I'm not sure if it actually works.
Further, would there be difficulties in running other arbitrary command line programmes on the bebook? Cheers. PS. I don't have a bebook yet, I'm just trying to figure out if it will fit my needs (desires?) or not. |

RE: terminal emulator
There use to be a terminal emulator. But I think it worked on an older version of the firmware.
There was also a description of how to hook up a A-60 to a PC and use the PC as a terminal. You would have to compile the programs you want to use on the A60. |

I have built the Boox Terminal application from the SourceForge link above. I made some small modifications, mainly to build it for recent firmware versions. It is a bit limited in its use because it only support single command execution, but it surely can be handy to start stripts etc. Here is a screenshot: The binary is attached OpenBOOX: The open source Boox 60 firmware Wiki - YouTube |
